mustache cups

I've seen cups the size of a coffee or tea cup with center divider and a shelf with drain holes. I'm assuming one would cut a soap puck to fit the shelf and pour hot water into the cup to wet the brush and help make hot lather. They are being called mustache cups here and on e-bay, but my guess is that is a mis-identification as a mustache cup is designed to keep the mustache out of your drink while sipping. please correct me if I'm wrong.

I've seen each mis-identified as the other. Whenever I see shaving mug such as the one you refer to I wonder how they were put to use because there is very little room for either soap or brush.
