Caveat: I'm fairly new at using DE razors
I bought some Muhle blades to see how I like them. After reading this thread, I am surprised to have had a completely different experience. I used 5 blades and shaved with each blade 4 times. Each shave was a 3-pass shave, with some touch up at the end. I did vary the type of soap I used, but nothing radical.
My experience was somewhat consistent throughout all 5 blades. Generally, the first shave with a blade was rough, some pulling, not comfortable, and left detectable stubble. By noon I could definitely feel the stubble. The second shave was better, the third still better, and the fourth shave was smooth and as good as I get or better from other blades.
Doesn't make sense to me, but that's my experience. I'm not a fan of the Muhle blades.
