How are they? size? how do they compare to Dirty birds?
I don't own a DB so I can't help in the comparison. Do you face or bowl lather? I only face lather and have small Moss scuttle which is a great brush scuttle. Keeps the lather warm through three passes, and is a gorgeous piece to have on the counterparts.

Yes it does look very nice i have never really tried face lathering i have always bowl lathered
The moss was designed as a docking station for your brush. Not to make lather in.
I have the small ivory moss scuttle, which I bought a couple of weeks ago. It keeps the lather warm, due to the large bottom compartment. The top part is not very deep, but I really prefer it that way. My camera needs to be recharged, unfortunately, but here is a photo of the exact one I bought from the Sarah Bonnyman website. The outer bowl is about 3 3/4 inches wide; the inner bowl is about 2 1/2 inches wide. I tried some other scuttles and found them too narrow and deep for easy use. This one is perfect for me.

The Moss now comes in several sizes. I have the Medium, and it's not really for building lather in - unless I use a small or medium brush. However, it was designed mostly for keeping your brush+lather warm, not for building lather, as Jim mentioned.
Having used several other scuttles (DB, Becker, Gerogetown), I'd go with a Becker as a starter scuttle and then buy a Moss, if you want an upgrade. I really like mine. However, if you're in the US, buying from a ConUS based maker will save you a few $$ on shipping.

well id like to have a scuttle on the smaller side i really like the size of the moss and db travel but id like to be able to lather in them as well

neat idea but i would like to get a wheel thrown piece
don't think that is going to happen with a hand thrown piece. the above links are about as close to what you want as I can see.
it's either going to be a bowl scuttle (larger) or a brush scuttle (smaller).
if you could design a perfect scuttle to your needs, what would the opening be?

Just big enough to lather in I mean my current brush is not very big its The dovo brush that matches the futur razor heres a pic. I think the perfect scuttle would be small like a moss or dirty bird travel yet have just enough room to bowl lather.

thanks...I'm a scuttle junkie, I find them fascinating and love using them.. 
if you can give measurements, maybe someone can find one.
as for a small scuttle like the moss or DB travel, you won't be able to lather in them. it's just not physically possible. they are too small. you want them that small and be able to whip up lather in them, it's not going to happen, at least i don't think so. yes, if you use a wee scott or small omega mighty midget you may be able to, but other then that i can't see it working.
my SRD scuttle is on the bigger side of brush scuttles and i do refresh the lather in between passes, but just enough to get the lather on my brush. i would never attempt to lather in it fully, as my brush would be clanging around the sides constantly and i'm not willing to do that to the brush or my fingers.
the best scuttle you can buy on the smaller side, hand thrown is the DB original. the best large scuttle you can buy, hand thrown is the DB1.5. these are only my opinions, i have no tried or seen them all.

Hey I do not know why I did not to think to ask this before but is the Orginal DB scuttle really that much bigger than the Travel scuttle???

Extremely. It would be like comparing a baseball to the size of a basketball....maybe not quite that extensive. But you get the idea.

Hmm well now it seems im leaning toward the original DB if its simply not possible to make a lather in the travel scuttle

Oh wow I just found some pictures of the two next to each other well the 1.5...... did not realize how small it really was.... The original sounds much better for my wants now
