Do many people use scuttles? I've been considering one - I do like the warm/hot lather.

I feel like when I first got into wetshaving scuttles and bowls were discussed much more than they are now — people sharing pictures of new scuttles, bowls, and so forth. Maybe that's just my memory though.

It's a beautiful scuttle though.

You can make warm or cold lather in a scuttle. Very meditative. And I love beautiful handmade pottery.

The Doug Smith scuttle has a unique feature, note the handle loop that is lower than normal. In this way, you can hold the scuttle in your palm, with your thumb in the handle loop. It’s very useful.
