More playing with Williams

I wanted to try boiled water to see if it makes any difference.
As I was heading in for a shower, I put the boiled water in the glass covering the puck. I also put the brush in the mug in hot tap water.

The Lass thought a onion soup bowl would make a good shaving mug. It is usable (something to think about if youre looking to save money), but its a lil small to really whip the lather plus its noisy.

I then dumped the puck water into the mug & loaded the brush. I found it was a lil too much water, so I started over.

I whipped the lather & dipped the brush in the boiled water 3 times. I figger more than enough for 2 full face shaves.

I only shave my chin & my neck. I lathered & shaved twice. This is the leftover lather.

Results of Boiled Water
I feels great. The lather I was putting on my face was about as hot as tap water. I not really sure if it makes a better lather. I can get the same lather with hot tap water.
The shave might be better. There were no shaving hang ups, weeper etc. The first shave was with the Fatboy on 5, the second was on 6, the blade was a Astra (second shave). Was that the technique, blade, razor, who knows.
I topped it all with a hot water rinse & Ol Spice.

Knotty

Nice demo! I use Williams on occasion with various results. I Find my boar brush works the best. I never seem to get a thick or long lasting lather but I usually get a nice shave and my face feels smooth afterwards and not dry. Its not my go to soap but I will continue to ues it once in a while.
