Monocle?

Monocle is a magazine (their also a store, designer, and yada yada) about business, design, economy and culture.

i've read a few of the magazines and like it a lot.

It's an expensive magazine and it costs MORE to buy a subscription than it does each individual mag (roughly $10)

Monocle seems to me to VERY applicable to the B&B crowd, do we have any readers?

Im wondering if the extra online benefits are worth the extra cost?

First I've heard of it. I actually thought you would ask if anyone was sporting a monocle...which might be taking the whole old world gentleman thing a little too far.

What you are getting with the subscription is the "plugged in" constant updates online. Seems ideal for cell devices.

I generally like it. Sort of a world cultural intel report. Although the latest issues have not been as strong and customer service screwed up my subscription. Interesting rag overall if you are buried in office work like me.

I prefer opera glasses to a monocle. I find when I'm wearing a monocle I drop it in my champagne glass every time I am startled. That just isn't proper.

It's good to see another reader! Do you like having the online option?

On Wikipedia it says this is a UK magazine writing by a Canadian journalist. Where are you finding this mag at? Sounds like my best bet is in an airport.

Edit: I see now it is sold in the U.S for 10 dollars and 120 dollars for a subscription

There are a couple places to pick it up in PDX, the cigar shop near my house carries it.

I came about when i went in on a lazy saturday afternoon. The girls asked if there was anything i needed and i said "Not a thing, what would you recommend?" and they said "How about some reading material? you look like a Monocle man"
