Molnija Pocket Watches?

Hey Guys,

I've been looking into getting a pocketwatch. I know that Elgin, Waltham and other vintage are very good, but they are a bit spendy for my tastes right now.

I'm wondering if anyone here has a Molnija and if they do what their thoughts are on them. I know a bit about the history, but I've only been able to find one review online about them.

Any thoughts would be welcomed.

I have had one for a month now, keeps perfect time +/- 5 sec a week.

I have one I have had for about 15 years now. I rarely use it and it doesn't keep good time but it was only $35.00. It's a matter of how you define a good watch. I would never even begin to compare one to any vintage pocketwatch no matter the brand. If you open one up the mvmt is so crude it's a miracle it runs. But yes it runs and I guess for the cost it's a bargin. Better to save your money and buy a vintage piece.
