Merkur Travel Slant Varient?

I found this razor in an antique store. I have never knowingly seen any Merkur razor, but judging from pictures this appears to be one of Merkur's travel slants.

The razor is unmarked, except for "MADE IN GERMANY" across the top. The letters are not stamped perfectly -- the lower third of the entire line is missing. The back side of the top has a raised "2" near one side.

The pouch appears to be the same as the Merkur's current travel pouch with a different logo.

Can anyone tell me what I have?

I've shaved twice now with it. It's harsher than my Fatboy set at 5, and seems more like either of the two Techs that I have. I like the longer handle on this much better than that on the Travel Tech, as it gives my fat fingers much better control in that early-morning daze. The shave is indeed very close. With my beard, my guess is that it's about 10 hours closer than my fatboy.

Thanks. I just wish that I knew what it is. I'm guessing that it's a rebadged Merkur, but since I've never knowningly seen or handled any Merkur, a guess is all that it is.

On the other hand, no matter what it is, it's going into the "use" rack, at least for a while, replacing the ball end travel tech.

There come some of these razors with the Hoffritz-branding up on the bay from time to time. I have one with a Pomco Chicago branding. Nice razor.

Oel,
Read your thread: "Merkur Slant Variations" between the time that I saw this razor and when I bought it, so I was pretty sure that it was a Merkur.

What puzzles me about this razor is the complete absence of any branding. Just "Made In Germany" stamped on the top, with a raised "2" on the other side, and nothing on the handle. This is a situation in which I not only don't have a clue, but don't even know where to rent one. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
