Merkur 47c vs. EJ DE89ba11

I'm still new to wet shaving. I use a Merkur 47c, and as many have advised, I will stick with my first razor to perfect my technique. However....the de89ba11 may be calling me to buy it. Question: will the shaving experience be really that different between those two razors to justify buying it?

I have heard multiple times that people genuinely notice a significant difference between the two heads--but the design seems so similar, I have a hard time believing it. I'd love to hear some reasons as to why the shave would be of a different quality--is the angle different? More round?
