Merkur 33c

People using merkur 33c, What are your comments about the razor? I heard that it does not perform as well as the HD 34!

I have a 33C and bought it instead of the HD due to it's 3 piece design. The head of the 33C is said to have the same design as the HD so I doubt you'd notice any difference in the shave. The HD is obviously a little heavier. The 33C allowed me to swap handles with other razors I have which was my main reason for purchasing it over the HD. The way the HD comes apart, you're stuck with the handle it comes with. On top of that, you'll save about $10 if you get the 33C. Great razor!

I have both and to me they are about the same in shave quality.
