Just wanted to post an update. I've used the brush a few times now and it is fantastic! I'm partial to boars over badgers to begin with, but all I've had were Omegas up till now. Omegas are fine brushes, but the SOC has a much different feel. The wider splay seems to give it a softer feel, and it also releases the lather more efficiently. With my older brushes I had to do a sort of swirl motion on my chin to work the lather toward the outside bristles to get it to release more lather.
