Melting Proraso green with VDH soap?

This may be a really dumb question, but I'm new, so sorry. I have some VDH soap and Proraso green cream. Can I melt some of the cream into the soap in the microwave? I'm imagining melting the soap first, then squeezing some Proraso in there, melting for a few more seconds, then stirring and letting it cool.

Would that work? What do you think the results would be?

This is most definitely not a dumb question! My personal advice would be....
1) Melt the VDH with a few short microwave bursts or over a double boiler...
2) Mix in a few squirts of your Proraso
3) Skip the second round of heating and put your new puck in the freezer
4) Try it out and report the results back to us in this thread!

Worst case scenario - you're out $2 for the VDH and a few snurdles of cream...
Best case scenario - awesome new soap fad that we'll all be too happy to try.

Best of luck!

I melted in last night, and tried it this morning. I think it worked pretty well. The proraso kind breaks apart, but it doesn't melt. You can see what I'm talking about in the picture. I don't know if floats on the top and dries there, or if it's spread throughout the soap. I guess I'll have to wait a few weeks to find out. It lathers nicely. I'm not experienced enough to say too much about the quality of the lather, but I like it. It smells nice too. Overall, I'm satisfied with it.
