Marvis Toothpaste

I am addicted to this stuff. I have tried the Ginger Mint, Cinnamon Mint and just got a tube of Jasmin Mint. Cinnamon is definitely my favorite. They all taste and clean great. Pricey but you only need a small amount so a tube will last a long time. Any Marvis users out there? What are your favorite flavors?

I just got a tube from IB, Classic Strong Mint. when i told my wife about it, after she found out cost and the fact that it's not Canadian Dental approved, it may be my last one.

as for the toothpaste...i love it. nice tube, classy stopper, stands up, great scent, nice strong smell and cleans my teeth fine.

probably no better or worse then anything WM sells, but i may look for other Canadian Dental approved ones locally that she will allow

I guess I should have ordered a few scents like i wanted to and then I'd have a few more to use up before i got the "$7 for a tube of toothpaste is ridiculous" speach

I'm working my way through a tube of Amarelli licorice. Really like it a lot. Give Botot a try, it's a classic around the world and is flavored with cloves and cinnamon and other spices. They make a mouth wash concentrate and a fantastic toothpaste.

I was going to get the Botot mouthwash once just for the old apothecary style bottle. I saw it here: http://www.westelm.com/products/mrk...e&cm_src=all-personal-care||NoFacet-_-NoFacet-_--_- . They have the toothpaste too.

I've been thinking about trying the Marvis too. It's a good thing I live in the U.S. and not Canada so it will work for me :tooth: . This is going to sound stupid, but I honestly have no idea if $7 is a ridiculous price for a tube of toothpaste. How much does a tube of "normal" toothpaste cost? $7 doesn't seem so bad to me. I couldn't tell you what the price of a gallon of milk should be either though :001_tongu.

Dude, it's great. And because it's a concentrate, it's last forever. I am so sick of the drug store varieties. One thing is that they say "add a couple of drops to water", but that's BS, you need seven or eight to really feel like it's cleaning your mouth. But one thing it does, which no other mouthwash does is warm yor gums. Really nice feeling.

Thanks, I may just have to place an order.

Your standard Aquafresh, etc. run about a few bucks per tube. Depending on how large (or small) these Marvis tubes are, $7 could either be an alright price or an absolutely ridiculous price.

I get them at Baxter Finley barbershop here in LA. I did notice the Botot toothpaste and mouthwash on the shelves last time I was there. Maybe I'll try them. Marvis has made brushing my teeth a more luxurious and enjoyable experience. I'm not against the drugstore stuff, just prefer the Marvis. They really do last a long time. You can use half the amount you would with Crest or Colgate and get a nice lather. Being able to get it locally is a bonus. :biggrin1:

I received a sample of Marvis licorice with my order from Italian Barber. Holy schmoly this stuff is good. Ordered a large tube and a tube of Marvis Whitening Mint.

I have the same three as you plus the Amorelli Licorice so, yes, I'm a fan. I also really enjoyed the Acca Kappa but I haven't tried the new formulation.

No doubt the Marvis is a luxury product and if you're trying to justify your purchase by comparing its price per use to crest you'll sadly never convince yourself to take the plunge.

For those of us who like a little affordable luxury in our otherwise daily routine, this is a great item.

I have tried all of the flavors. licorice, cinnamon, strong mint, and aquatic mint are all winners in my book. Did not care for lavender or ginger. Apparently at one point there was a tropical fruit flavor I would have liked to try.

No fluoride in this stuff which is probably a deal killer for some.

All four tubes of Marvis I have on hand contain Sodium Fluoride.

Well that's good - must be recent because in the past that wasn't the case. Before it became as weidely available as it is today I had to order a few tubes at a time to make the shipping economical.

I like these too. Someone gave me a sample of the licorice one when in first came out. I was not expecting to like it, but it is now my favorite.
