Mama Bear Soaps?...

I know that I like tallow soaps and there are soooo many tpes of Mama Bear soaps to pick from. Is the shave close to that of tallow soaps? I do have a couple of none tallow soaps that I do use on occasion but they are not expensive. (Col Conk) At this time I have just the right amount of soaps in that I haven't over done it (IMO). I however don't want to miss anything good. The one I'm interested in is Awakening. To the tallow soap people I pose the question....is this a soap I need to buy?

I haven´t tried Awakening but I think that´s more about the fragrance. I can always get very close and irritation free shaves with Mama Bear´s soaps. Do I like tallow or none tallow better? I can´t really say. Usually I get more lather from Mama Bear´s soaps than for example from Tabac or Speick. Tallow based lather is maybe a bit more moisturaising but I found MB lather be more slick. Judge yourself.

Mama Bear´s soaps are great and you you should definitely try one!

Mama Sue makes great soaps that are easy to lather and smell great. Unfortunately, they do not contain tallow. this fact does not make them inferior, just different.

If the Awakening soap appeals to you, go get it man-RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!!!
Once you scratch that itch, you'll be fine-until the next one.

"Awakenings" is an excellent scent. Currently my most used soap (I've temporarily put aside MWF and Tabac because I like it so much). Great clean scent. Its lathering / shaving properties are very good by the way. I will absolutely buy it again. And it pairs well with the green AV Sport (not sure if you can get that in the US).

I know that your question has been answered but I have to say that I love Mama Bears soaps. IMHO, tallow soaps are not as good as glycerin. I have many creams (tube and tub) and pucks and I find that the best shaves are always with Mama Bears.

I like the tub she uses that comes with a screw down lid. It keeps the soap fresh and keeps down the mess. On top of that, her soaps last forever and let me add, that Mama Bears Soap Company is one of only two corporate supporters of B&B Forum. If you try it, you will love it.

I use both tallow & glycerin soaps (and I use creams, too) with great results. I use whatever the spirit moves me to use for any particular shave!

I have wonderful shaves with Mama's soaps - and Awakenings is one of my two MB faves (Lilac Ice the other).

Get it. Use it. LOVE it!

Both tallow and glycerin soaps can give you great comfortable shaves. Tabac, a talow base, is my favorite but I reach often for glycerin based like QED and Mama Bear as well.
