Making My Own Shaving Brush

Hello all,

I was considering a project to buy a 22mm silvertip knot from thegoldennib.com and mount it onto a van der hagen handle, as those brushes also come in 22mm knots, if i recall correctly.

Does anyone have experience doing this/can anyone recommend a way to remove the VDH boar knot so that I can glue a silvertip knot? Also, what kind of glues are recommended?

I don't expect to take on this project for a while - its just something I'm thinking about.
