Making my first shave brush

ok here is the first step of making my first Badger brush

I still have a lot to do on the handle but I am getting there. This will be a true monster brush with a 28mm knot

The handle is soap stone and it will look like polished granite when finished. it has considerable weight so I think the 28mm knot will work well in it.

Nice. Can't wait to see it when it's done. I'm going to make a brush with a white Delrin handle and black badger knot.

Where did you get the soapstone?

Just don't ever drop it. Soapstone, as I'm sure you know, is really soft stuff. Nice looking handle, though.
