Making a brush handle question

Hi - I was looking at a post and saw what appeared to be a ceramic handle for a shaving brush. I am an armature potter and this got me thinking why not make myself a shaving brush? I have made mugs, scuttles, and shaving stands for my own use why not a brush? I know you can get knots in various grades and can restore them.

Ok so I guess I am wondering if people do make them out of ceramics. If so whats the general thought on them? I guess the best way would be to buy a knot or two and just see if I could make something that would work. But I thought if there is anyone out there with thought on the subject it would be good to hear them prior to starting making them.

It will probably be a week or so before I can start back out making things - I just had an implanted defibrillator replaced so I am on the sideline for some of my normal activity for a few more days.....

I have seen a few of the ceramic or porsalin ( can't spell it) with matching mugs. One thing comes to mind is the clanking and possible chipping from lathering with that combo.I would suggest that if you make one(I like the idea)either make it face lather only or get a wooden bowl to avoid any chipping mishaps.
