Mailing cologne/aftershave via USPS

Looks like perfumes are prohibited so I imagine alcohol based colognes and aftershaves are as well. Whenever I mail items they ask if it contains any liquids, flammable or hazardous materials. I have received cologne and aftershave via USPS. :confused1

I have some items to ship and because they are not all full you can kind of hear them slosh a bit so they will know it is liquid.I would like to know how others mail these kind of items via USPS ? What is the response to their questions?

I walked into a USPS store near Detroit and said I wanted to mail a bottle of cologne to California. They said fine. It was mailed to California.

I think it also depends on who you get at the counter, I recently mailed two PIF's both had about 4-5 oz of AS. They asked the usual questions alcohol, cologne, etc. I was up front and said they did contain about 4 oz of AS samples and there was no issue both went priority so I assume YMMV.

Im stationed over seas in Korea. I have ordered cologne and AS and all has arrived fine. The have all been in zip lock bags just incase. When my wife send me things like that she normally tapes the top if not already sealed and in zip lock. The sometimes also bubble wraps them. Aerosol cans should't be anything but ground, but my soldiers down range have got shave cream from home with no issues.

I just sent some yesterday. She asked any liquids, I said aftershave. She marked package fragile and was done.

I've always been upfront with them when they ask the usual questions. They ask because some items - like cologne - can not travel via airplane, they have to be sent by truck only. Never had a problem shipping cologne or anything really.

I also agree that it depends on who you have the pleasure of doing business with behind the counter. I told one lady it was razor blades and I think she heard "pipe bomb". I told another lady it was razor blades and she just asked how I packed them and continued with the transaction like nothing.

I think that aftershave shipping is hit and miss
I've had product shipped to me in Canada from the US and India and Europe.
I even phoned Canada customs to ask if it was ok and they really didn't care just as long as they got the tax on the value
Some panic about it and some don't

Maybe they are worried about this happening

I have had both happen at the post office. Sometimes they dont ask any questions at all. To do it correctly you should ship ground
