Made in England Wilkinson Swords?

Anyone got any information about the blades made by Wilkinson that are "Made in England"? I got some in a lot the other day. They are in a plastic case of 10, with a black slide in label on top. They are individually wrapped in paper.

Thanks for any help.

I have never used them, but from what I have heard they are supposed to be the best of the Wilkinson's. Second are the German or Indian depending on who you talk to. I have some of the German ones and they are quite nice.

I use the German blades (white label -- Wilkinson Classic) regularly, and find them to be excellent. I've never tried the UK blades. Where did you get them?

Here are pictures of the blades. I picked them up at an indoor yard sale. I didn't think they had any shaving stuff, but on my way out, something told me, since I was there, to ask. The lady said she remembered seeing some shaving stuff in a box under the counter. At first she found these blades and some old Gillettes, and some Revco blades. She said she knew she had seen a razor in there somewhere. After rummaging around for a while she found a very nice Red Tip. I said how much for the lot, and she said "how's a dollar?" ..... Seemed fair.:001_smile

I have a lot of the 'Made in England' Wilkinson blades. The blade wrapper has brown printing, and I suspect that they are >20 y.o.

They are superb. If you have the opportunity to acquire these, make certain that you do. I use them in an old Pomco Slant and the shave they give is simply magical.

edit: The ones that I have are the same as the white wrapper depicted in the first photo of post #8 above.
