Mach 3 question

I'm assuming the "Powered" Mach 3 cartridges are the same as the Regular? ie, the only thing different about the two is the batteries in the handle?

I can score a bunch for ultra-cheap.

yeah, i saw on consumer tv program that it wont make a difference if it vibrates or not..its a novelty or gimmick to make you want to buy them, i tried them and honestly i stuck with the regular mach 3 and it shaves better than the other mach 3 kl,exl, super duper this or that...just stick to original mach 3..by the way,.can i get in this ultra cheap deal..?

I was asking if the "Power" cartridges were compatible with the regular Mach3 handle.. and they are.. they're just a funky neon green and orange color.. I never have tried a vibrating razor.. and have no plans to..

A local discount store just had a few 4 packs. Cartridges show up on their misc. shelf from time to time. I got the last two @ $2.99 each, so it was $5.98 for 8.. a significant discount over the current price of a 5 pack of Mach3 turbo carts @ Wal-mart, which is somewhere north of $12..

I'm not sure what makes me more incredulous. The fact that a company passes off an any identical item as something more special (with a price to match) or that fact that people buy them and pay the premium price. Scratch that, I think I know the answer. I guess if a company can successfully market a product, they deserve to reap the benefits of their efforts.

When i was a cartridge user the only differance i noticed between the 2 was i had to pay more money out for a battery every now and again, never ever noticed any differance when the thing was vibrating.

According to what I have heard, the Powered cartridges are supposed to have superior blade coatings. Probably just marketing mumbo jumbo though.

yes, that's what the box said. special coating or something. My first shave was REALLY good.. but the first shave with a new Mach3 cart is always pretty good for me. we'll see how it goes with the next few.
