The Cup may be lifted tonight, by the Red Wings .. so send a cheer

Tis my prediction that The Pens come up big tonight, backed by solid netminding, and a strong night by Sid, Bill, and Evgeni.

I have no dog in this fight. I just love to see good series, so I hope they stave off elimination tonight.

I will be praying for the Pens. They are playing very aggressive right now and if Malkin and Sid get clicking they are very dangerous. The Pens weren't my first choice to win the Cup this season, but anyone but the Red Wings please. They are the Yankees of hockey, the team everyone likes because they win a lot. I loathe Detroit almost as much as I loathe Montreal...almost.

The Motown needs a boost, but the fix is in:thumbdown, me namesake Bettman has instructed that it goes 7 games .. but mebbe Sindy C. is the difference, either she does, or doesn't

Not even the hockey gods can help you! Go Wings!

Me thinks you are right. Calls in this series have been awfully lopsided a lot in the series and it isn't because the Pens is more disciplined than the Wings.

As for Crosby, the kid is way overhyped. Is he good? Sure. Great? Not from what I've seen yet.

They helped me tonight.

Sid is over hyped, just like every other big name in the NHL. For his age, he shows a lot of promise. A lot. And he can skate circles around those old farts in Detroit. (Hey, they got a lot of talent, but time is not on the Red Wings side)

Nah, they just want the Wings to hoist the Cup in Detroit!

And Sid skate circles around the Wings? Please! Pavel Datsyuk could out-skate and out-handle the puck against Sid any day of the week!

I'm going with Don Cherry on this one. He says the Red Wings will take the cup. I'm a Redwings fan, so I'm pullin' for them. I know they've won a lot, but its because they are good at what they do. Thats why the consistently show up at the playoffs and are almost always in the final. It'll be interesting to see who wins game 7, as its a replay of last year. Any way you look at it, its great hockey to watch! Maybe one of these years the Bruins will win the cup...May the best team win!

Awesome game last night. I was jumping out of my seat trying to get that tying goal in at the end. Pittsburgh earned that one. That was some great reflexes to keep it out of the net.

Gotta love Game Seven!

My brother is a big Pittsburgh fan ... since the 70s ... so I'm leaning that way, plus I'd love to see Marian Hossa's off season flip-flop NOT work out for him.

Having grown up outside of Cleveland I know all to well the hatred for dominant sports teams. But gosh darn it my parents are both from Detroit and I can not help but love the Wings.

As much as I do, it would be somewhat comical to see Hossa's plan turned right back arounnd o him.

Well, Well, Well........

What have we here....

Too bad they had to put Lord Stanley's Cup back in its travel trunk last night...

Just to trot it up to Detroit, to hand it to....

The Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday Night!!

GO PENS!!

I want to see Hossa get Hosed...

Here's the scenario...

Game 7. 3rd period. 1:49 left. Pens up 5 to 2.

Camera pans the Red Wing bench. Lot's of disappointment, but they've danced with Lord Stanley before; they will again.

Camera stops on Hossa. Head down, head in hands, camera slowly moves in on Hossa, who then raises his head to look at the clock to see how much time is left, to see how much time before he is unemployed. Even closer, tears running down his cheeks, eyes puffy and red.

Heart ripped out for the rest of his life regretting the decision to leave the Pittsburgh Penguins, kicking the team in the 'n@ds on the way out saying, "I want to play on a team that has a better chance to win the Stanley Cup."

But, believe me, I don't hold grudges, but this one is too tasty not to sink my fangs into.

Big +1 on this.

Except for the last 4 words on that post

I don't really care for either of these teams. I think they generally play prissy hockey. That said, I really despise the Red Wings teams of the last 5 years or so. I'd prefer Pittsburgh to win but not by a lot.

I think the Wings will win game 7 and the Pizza Man will try to get the names of his tailor, podiatrist, and Elvis stamped on the cup.
