So lately I've been trying to "go natural" as far as my skin, body, and hair care. I was hoping to get some input on great products that are somewhat readily available. I have access to a whole foods, a really small trader joes, and kroger stores in my area. So far I have to shaving stuff covered, but I need to get shampoo/conditioner, face wash, and moisturizer without any of the bad stuff (parabens, SLS, etc.). I'm not too acne prone but I do have occasional breakouts so I'd want a facewash that could address this. Also, I'd like a moisturizer with some UV protection. I would really appreciate some recommendations on this stuff. I've been losing my mind reading up on this.

I haven't tried one but from what i hear shampoo bars are supposed to be amazing. I'm finishing up the bottle of Treseme I have now then I plan on trying one.

I'm considering going this route. Seems easy and convenient.

I'm also wondering if I should be concerned about the Sensodyne toothpaste I use or about the aluminum in antiperspirants.

Trader Joes Toothpaste I think is pretty clean. Can't really remember though.

Best moisturizer will be unrefined Shea butter that you should find at Whole Foods. Not sure on shampoo/conditioner as I use neither.

As far as toothpaste goes I gotta give a huge recomendation to desert essence tea tree and neem. as far as antiperspirants they scare me. Right now I'm using a Sam's natural and love it.

I tried one of the crystal deodorant sticks didn't do anything for me, I would still sweat.

worried about the sensodyne because it contains zinc and the potential for alzheimers? if you don't need to use sensodyne for sensitivity, then don't use it. see your dds about a rx for gel-kam - it's fluoride gel that you brush on like toothpaste and then don't rinse. toothpaste is something like .17%, mouthrinse about the same, gel-kam maybe 5%. i use it once a week since i'm on well water. i had a sensitivity issue on one tooth, dds said no decay, just use gel-kam daily for a week. it worked. if you're using it "just because", there are lots of other toothpastes out there.

neem in toothpaste is amazing. i love it. find a neem toothpaste at your local indian (india) grocer or international food section at the grocers.

crystal deo sticks won't stop sweating, they're not anti-perspirants. they kill the bacteria that cause the smell. that's why they're just called "deodorants".

if you do need to stop the sweat, i don't know if there are any anti-Ps without aluminum so kind of a catch-22. If anti-P causes alzhemiers, we're in for a world of hurt.

+1. Love their wintergreen neem and tea tree oil toothpaste.

Kiss My Face has a number of all natural products that may be what you are looking for. The Kroger's in my area carries some of the KMF products so you might see what yours has as well.
