Hair Product Recommendations

The TL/DR - I'm looking for recommendations on a light hold hair product (preferably a tonic) for daily use. I currently use Lucky Tiger hair tonic and while I'm generally pleased with it I'd like something that had just a touch more hold to keep my hair in place.

Backstory is that I used to wear light hold hair paste (American Crew, I forget the specific name) and once COVID WFH came along I switched up all of my grooming routine (soap, deodorant, hair care). I switched to hair tonic for ease and, frankly, I like how my hair feels more natural and healthy. The one thing that has bothered me, though, is that there is no noticeable hold to the product. Specifically, while my hair doesn't look like it's thinning, it is and I can see the transition from the thinner hair in the front, which tends to "lay down" and the thicker hair about an inch from my front hairline which tends to stand higher. I'd ideally like a product that can give the front that little something extra to keep it from laying down and make that transition from thinner hair to thicker hair less noticeable.

I've tried various light hold hair creams, and the most recent which I've been satisfied with is Brylcreem. The downside is that it gives me a terrible itchy scalp and dandruff, so I can only use it sparingly (as in I only use it for special occasions). Basically any time after using a product that isn't hair tonic, I need to use T-Gel for 3 weeks to get my scalp back to normal.

Maybe Lucky Tiger is as good as it gets for me, I don't know, but I figured I'd ask! Would love to hear some recommendations for a product to use on a sensitive scalp that gives some hold.

When i was "styling" my hair i used various pomades. The ones that worked the best on my hair was stronger/stiffer hold pomades. The light and medium hold ones were ok but not strong enough for my hair. I have dandruff and pomades didn't add any discomfort or extra dry skin or itchyness.

I can't remember the brands but a few i got online after seeing them in B&B and in different stores in the Right Coast of America. Most had funny or clever names.

Have you tried a texture or sea salt spray before? I like Muck from Lockhart's. They usually offer a light hold.
