So, this is where I stand with blades. The first blades I used were derby extras. At first they kicked ***, then they just started to burn, so I tried a pack of feathers, LOVED THEM. At that point, I took a 4 month break from shaving, to compete in Whiskerino. Upon my return, my brother gave me a pack of Israeli Reds, which I like, but they take more passes than the Feathers to get a BBS, and sometimes even a DFS.
After that pack, my mother picked me up a pack of Shop Rite brand blades, which I have been led to believe are actually Personnas. Now, am I going crazy, or do this have a tendency of ripping your face apart? I can barely get a good shave out of them. That being said, I intend to work my way through the pack.
Now, onto my main question. Does anybody know of another site, like West Coast Shaving, where I can order Israeli Reds in bulk at a comparable price, since WCS is out of stock? Feathers at a cheaper price would also be nice.
Unrelated: I'm probably gonna have a job soon, so I'm gonna be looking to get new soaps and a new brush to replace my VDH Boar Hair brush, any suggestions?
