What's new

Looking for a new brush.

Hi all, birthday coming up and want to get a new brush. At the moment I'm using a cheap boar brush. I was looking at another boar such as Vulfix. Will one of these be good enough for soaps and creams. ..........com have a good selection and at very good prices. I may even be tempted towards a badger, but my limit would be £30 ish. For the size I would want a medium, colour not important and I bowl lather instead of face lather. All recommendations welcome.

I'm very happy with my omega pro 48. This brush is $10 shipped and does a great job with soaps and creams face lathering and bowl lathering.

Bristles were surprisingly soft right out of the box and now that its broken in i couldn't ask for a softer brush (boar or badger).

At first I didn't care for the taller loft but now that I have used it for a bit I really think its perfect. It holds enough lather to give me 4 + passes while face lathering.

I did have a vulfix boar but it was given away after I received my omega lol. Yes the omega was that much better to me.

Semogue boar brushes get good reviews also and are reasonably priced. I am planning on getting an 830 in the near future.

I haven't really had that many badger brushes so I can't really comment on them. Best of luck with your new brush purchase.

How about a Semogue 830? You may not ever want a badger with this brush. It's well within your price range, and The Vintage Scent has great customer service (not affiliated, just a happy customer).

I am a fan of the Semogue's as well. Although you may be able to get a Rooney 3/1 in Super at your price range which is a very nice brush also.
