What's new

Looking for a new brush. Recommendations?

Well, it looks like I'm returning the first brush I ever used. It's a GBS silver tip black handle brush and it's been loosing 6-8 hairs a day for the past 3 weeks (used it for 4). I'll be sending it back to Amazon for a refund. It's a $60 brush sold for $40. What solid performing brush would you recommend to get? I would like to keep it under $60 (or maybe $80 if I get it on Amazon using the $40 refund/credit). I'm not attached to just silver tip, I'll be willing to try any type of hair as long as it works well and won't shed like crazy. Thanks.

Ok, just placed an order with WCS for the B&B Essential after reading some more about it and the wiki brush area. I didn't realize they only stock one color at a time but if I like this brush, I'll be on the look out for the others. I can see collecting all the colors. Ah, another obsession..... Oh, and I ordered the B&B mug and a bottle of Osage Rub.

Ah, and so the obsession begins to take hold... :001_tt1:

Good choice!!!!! I got my B&B yesterday and used it for the first time today and I love it. It made better lather and I think I like the stiffer feel on my face compared to the silver tip. I thought going with silver tip badger for my first brush was the way to to go based on reviews but after using this brush, I may not go back. I used it on a sample of Mystic Water and the brush loaded quickly and then I started to bowl lather. It took me 3-4 minutes but I got the best lather to date (it comes close to my proraso). I still want it thicker but the lather definitely provided more cushion/glide compared to what I was getting using the badger. No buyers remorse here. Now I need to start collecting all the colors it came in/will come in. Ahhh... SBAD and SSAD, what a pair.
