Looking for a menthol soap besides Proraso.help?

Hey guys!

I'm looking for another high quality mentholated soap for these hot days down south. Currently using Proraso Green but wondering is there is something else out there? I have not had any luck checking some of the usual sites but perhaps there is an artisanal soap that I am not aware of...especially since I am but a noob.

Mama Bear has a whole mess of them (most have Ice in the name). I think Proraso shaves better though.
Queen Charlotte Vostok is pretty popular, and supposed to be very mentholated.
Mystic Waters has a couple .
Razorock Mentolipto (haven't used it, but their other soaps are great)

You can order any soap from The Shave Den Shop with 1x or 2x menthol. Valobra also has a mentholated soap, which is less mentholated than Proraso but quite good and slick.

QCS Vostok or Iced Key Lime. My next choice/recommendation is Palmolive Menthol (Euro version). Nice and frosty.

M Bomb is good stuff--easy to add as much menthol as you want to soap, aftershave, you name it. Easier to control the dosage than using menthol crystals, too.

Valobra Menthol is an excellent soap IMO and is currently on sale for $9.99 shipped at WestElm.

Note that the menthol is lighter (vs Proraso) and the scent is clay+mint+camphor-like to my nose. But this is a wonderful classic soap that is def worth trying for that price. Check out Marco's review here.

Vostok is outstanding. The menthol is already in it, just lather and shave.

How does the freeze-factor of IKL compare to Vostok? Has anyone tried both creams?

Both have the same level of menthol chill, and are superb.

That's the theory. My experience, having tried both, is that Vostok has more of a menthol kick. I was disappointed in the IKL.

I agree that the menthol was sharper in the Vostok, perhaps because peppermint is already naturally cooling. IKL is one of my favorites, but if you want the true face freeze, go with the Vostok. I HIGHLY recommend the balm as well.

It's not menthol, but Mike's Peppermint and Rosemary has a decent chill factor.

I agree! just bought some IKL off a fellow B&B,er...super chilly menthol kick...coldest I have tried yet...I have only tried prorate green, IKL and valbora menthol
