Looking for a coffee similar to Verona at Sbux

I'm looking for a coffee that is similar to the Verona coffee at Starbucks.
It's a dark, full bodied coffee.

Even though I like the coffee I find starbucks to be a bit pricey and would in all honesty rather spend my money with a smaller independent shop if I can.

Any suggestions for something similar that can be had for $10/lb?

Verona is my most favorite coffee to make at home, I have not found anything close yet. At Sam's club you can get it in larger bags sometimes. I was watching a documentary on the SB company and they had a taste testing clip of the tasters working in their lab and I heard them say "Yeah this Verona is just incredible" or something like that. I tried it and was hooked.

Yeah it is a very nice coffee and not bitter at all.

sorry if this is a reply to an old thread....but thought I would pass along my coffee tip for posterity

I have found that blends with a strong portion of beans from Sumatra are similar to Cafe Verona.

Also a fan of Cafe Verona. Don Francisco's Family Reserve is a good coffee with a lower price tag.
