Looking for a Barbershop in Los Angeles

My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I was hoping to get a straight razor shave and I could use some recommendations for places in or near the miracle mile district of la. I unfortunately have to work on the day so I would like to find a place close to my work.

They have a locations in Long Beach, and Costa Mesa. There are many great barbers there. I just got a cut from Cesar earlier today and as always he did a fantastic job. They also do great hot lather shaves. Their Layrite is the one of the best hair products I have ever used. It is a true old school barbershop with a great ambiance. If you go to CM be sure to check out what's behind the large bookcase at the back wall.

I have been to the one on Melrose but I just didn't feel comfortable there.

I have been to the one at the Downtown Standard once. But only for a cut.

For the best experience I really recommend Hawleywoods. If you can make the drive it will be worth it.
