Looking for a 2nd badger brush ... any recommendations

I'm looking into buying another shaving brush to help satisfy my SBAD ...

Some background info:

got 2 brush: 1 Omega boar brush (80005) & 1 Omega Silvertip badger hair brush (632) - i love using both

I like using shaving creams & I face lather

Anyone have any recommendations on what i should buy.

Without giving any idea of how much you'd like to pay, I'd simply say go to something say like a Rooney Super. You can get a 107mm tall Model 2/1 with a 22mm knot for around $75. It's a great brush. Here's mine next to a Shavemac silvertip custom:

Or perhaps a Truefitt & Hill Rooney made Classic silvertip medium with the 20% Badger & Blade membership discount for around $87

I would suggest that you give Miguel Martinez at Martinez Customs a look. He built me a very nice 20mm short loft silvertip that I love for both soaps and creams. I face lather as well, and very much enjoy the scritchiness of the short loft brush...

those are some sweet brushes bald1 ...

I was definitely looking into buying a R.A. Rooney brush. However, i'm not sure where I can purchase one ... the 2 Canadian online shaving stores i order from don't carry Rooney ... are there any other sites that I can order from that will ship to Canada ..

anyone else have any idea on other possible brush choices ...

Did you call Truefitt and Hill US? They might ship to Canada. Be sure to tell them you are a B&B member and ask about the discount.

I also would contact Classic Shaving to see if they ship to Canada.

Alternately, you could just contact Rasage Poulin and Fendirhan (Canadian Shave stores) and see what brand/type of brush they recommend for you in your price range.

would anyone recommend a Simpsons (other than the Wee Scot) for a cream using, face lather shaver like me or are those bad boys more for soap users

since you like using creams, i'd seriously consider a shavemac. they're beautiful brushes in a wide range of styles. the silvertips are particularly nice. i have one bern restored for me and it's wonderful

you might also consider saville row. their brushes aren't particularly fancy, but everyone raves about the quality of the knot and from what i've seen, they offer terrific value for money.
