Long Handled Razor questions?

I've been shaving with the Merkur HD now for probably 2.5 years and it has made wet shaving and shaving in general truly a great experience but there has always been a nagging problem I had with it and that is the handle length. Now that I'm looking to purchase a long handled safety razor I have some questions. I'm probably looking to go with the long handled HD but I haven't been able to get a clear answer on what number the long handled HD is exactly, for example the HD is the 34C. Also is the handle on the 38C already considered "long" like the long handled HD? I don't think they make a long version of the 38C because its already long by safety razor standards correct? Hopefully someone can clear this up for me. Cheers!

Here is the Long Handled 23C with 4" long handle. It has the same head as the 34c.

The 38C has a 3-3/4" Long Handle

The 34C handle is 3.25".
