These kinds of articles are always interesting, but you probably need a shovel to clear away all the BS. In some cases, celebs are paid to hawk the fragrance, so who knows what they really wear when they get home. If James Franco gets to go home with a couple gallons of Gucci, does he wear it or sell it on eBay [NewYorkActor74 (4598

The other thing to think about is the sheer amount of PR fabrication that goes into things. Creed is the perfect example. According to them, Hannibal bought a bottle of REL at Duty Free before crossing the Alps, and Oliver Creed personally anointed Cary Grant with GIT on his deathbed. And yet, if you follow some of the blogs or basenotes discussions about this, there isn't any material evidence to take Creed frag production back before the 60's. Even that might be too far. No old bottles, nothing. Very mysterious. Does it mean that I'll dump out my Tabarome if I find out that Bogart and Churchill didn't spritz it on each other at a VE Day party? Heck no. I like it. But this celeb stuff is all pretty unreliable.
The Duke of York (Hermes Equipage) and Clive Owen (Chanel Pour Monsieur) wear my current scents, but Elvis and I wore the same fragrance in the 70's, Hai Karate.
