List of blades without wax spots?

Is there such a thing? If not, can we attempt to compile them here in this thread?

1. Personna Supers(Labs)

Please feel free to add on.

I think most don't have glue spots, you probably mostly tried the ones from Saint-Petersburg, Russia that have them.

I'll take glue spots over a duller blade any day!

Of course, this is more out of curiosity. They're definitely more the exception than the rule as far as razor blades go, by a wide margin I think. I feel like I've used at least two other brands w/o spots but I just cannot remember what brands those might be at the moment.

But, Personna Supers are my favorite blade so it only helps there. :thumbup1:

I have these "Crown Super Stainless" pack of 5-blades (cardboard) it came with my Merkur. They are only wrapped in paper, no wax paper, i.e. no spots.

I only got through like one cheek before chucking it in the trash though.

As shaving blades go, KAI are probably the most clean-cut (pardon the pun) - no writing, no spots, no nothing.

i am searching for a list of blades without glue spots as well...does gillette make any?
The Gillette Super Thins made in Shanghai come w.o. wax spots, and in both Thai and Vietnamese packaging.

Gillette blades from India (Green & Black packaging) are also a possibility.

A short list for this thread would be any blade with any name on it from the PPI plant in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Some other blades come with wax/glue spots, but not so much that they're a chore to remove from the wrapper, and have the potential to gunk up a razor.

Those that I have had that do not have wax spots:
- Personna Super (Blue)
- Personna Red
- SuperMax
- Gillette Super Thins

Wilkinson Sword Double Edge (Germany)
Personna Platinum Chrome (white wrapper)

Feather blades have only two spots, right along the axis of the blade, most of the wax remaining on the wrapper anyway and very little on the blade itself. Very effective and does not clog the razor nor affect the shave.
Gillette 7O'clock SharpEdge (yellows) have four wax dots in the corners of the blade, but very small (about 2mm size)
The worst is Astra SP.

I think the SuperThin-ish blades we got from South America were also glue spot-less.

The best blade I've used that doesn't have the spots is the KAI, as others have mentioned. I also agree that although the Feather does have glue, it is positioned in a much better way than the glue on most Gillette blades.

All Lord blades are wax spot free. That includes Sharks, Racers*, Ascos, Crowns, and Big Bens

In addition,
Personna Reds
Crystals
Rapiras
Voskhods
Personna Med/Lab/Barber
Dorco
Indian/Chinese Gillette
and Bics(I believe)

are also wax free. Someone check me on Bics
