How does he rinse the razor bedside?
There must be a bowl or basin somewhere out of the frame.
It could also be a posed shot.
I would guess that it was posed. That being said, I like to think that the guy helping him with his collar was forced to kneel just out of view and reverently hold a bowl of water up.
