Late 50's SS vs mid-70's Gillette tech

Just won and received a mid'70's Gillette tech (definitely a different feel than my SS).

With my SS I get superb shaves with a Derby or Red Personna. In your experience how does the Tech shave vice the SS.

Trying to decide which blade to try in the Tech as I hear that different blade/razor combo yield different results.

Blade recommendations (based on Tech's characteristics) would be appreciated.

I haven't tried an SS as of yet, but, hands down, the best shave I have gotten was with my tech and a new Feather blade.

I am using that combination as a benchmark for my blade testing.

Many will agree that the Tech loaded with a Feather blade makes for an outstanding combination of gentle razor / sharp blade.

My personal experience is that any blade that works well for you in your SS will be just as gentle in the Tech. You may find, however, that the tame nature of the Tech might require additional passes or buffing to achieve closeness equal to your normal routine with the Super Speed.

The added sharpness of the Feather compensates for the reduced blade-edge exposure inherent with the Tech.
