Late 40s Super Speed won't polish

Hey,

I just recieved a late 40s Super Speed from the 'bay last night, one side looked good the other was dull. I tried scrubbing it with a toothbrush and scrubbing bubbles. I tried scrubbing it with a toothbrush and toothpaste. I tried Brasso with a toothbrush! Nothing worked.

What can I use to polish my Super Speed?

Thanks for any responses.

You can try the metal polish as suggested, if that turns out to be a no go then get some 600grit sandpaper and lightly buff it out. If that does not work then just have it re-plated. good luck bc

I'd be really sure about things before you hit it with sandpaper - try the metal polish first - and try ti several times.

Sandpaper - evan at 600 grit - will eat away the nickel plating really quickly.

I use nevrdull - it works well for me.

They all said it, MAAS rocks and will do the trick. I can remember the first time I used it. I was blown away at the results. Good luck.

I'm a huge fan of Never Dull. Been using it for 30 years.

That said, with all the great accolades of MAAS around here, I figured I should try some. They were right, it's the most effective I've seen for razors, and blew the results I'd gotten with Never Dull away. Then again, a few non razor items, the Never Dull has proven superior. Different surfaces, etc. But to shine the doors on a TTO, there is none better than MAAS AFAIK.
