Knots for restorers

I was thinking that maybe we could start a list of places to buy knots for all the restorers out there. I'm interested in knowing myself to see if I can acquire something different than what I have already. Here's who I've purchased from"

The Golden Nib
Whipped Dog
Muhle
Frank Shaving

Who else is out there?

Honestly I havent tried any PC knots yet. I just stumbled upon that site when I was looking for other options. He has a good variety though, and pretty inexpensive.

I ordered a horse hair PC knot a few weeks ago that's just begging to be re-handled. Maybe this weekend? I'll report back on it when I do!

i used my 24mm WD silvertip today and was amazed at how well it did. soft, lost about 5 hairs on it's 1st official shave.

i have not tried any other replacment knots to compare it to, but must say, it was very very nice. it will be in regular roation with a Thayer and a couple M&F brushes and i'm pretty sure it will hold it's own.

not to doubt bobfarvour and his experience (as he probably has a lot more in his pinky that that I do in my whole body), but Whipped Dog knots have been serving me well so far. Although I've only experienced 3 of his knots (2 blacks and 1 silvertip), they have stood up to use with nary a shed and look to be of great quality (at least as far as I can tell with my novice eye).

Found another one I may purchase from immediately in the future. Great Prices and many sizes you wouldnt usually find.

AceShaving (Of ebay fame)

Like i said before. I motion a sticky of this thread for future brush restorers.
