It's at 110 dollars right now. I don't even think that it's a Gillette original. I may be wrong, but if it's not an original Gillette piece, why buy it? I'm sure someone like cooncatbob or pureslab here could just make you something like that and it'd cost half what they're charging
It looks real, but I see it as similar to those travel sets that involved tiny Gillette techs. Gillette made some of the parts, and not the others. I can't know for sure, just a guess
you find them in antique stores like that all the time. Not sure if it's a safety concern (since a lot of people seem to think that keeping the blades in adds to the value), or if it is just plain ignorance.
I believe this is a Gillette product. These sterling sets were made by silversmiths and sent to Gillette to be finished. I think they were more common in what I call Gillette's artistic period of the New Improved.
