Hey guys, just wanted to share my experience regarding Kai blades. These are my favorite blades of all, as sharp as a Feather in my opinion, and just perfectly smooth. No burn or irritation at all and to top it all of, no glue! I only have one pack of five that I got in a sampler and I'm almost done with it, I wish these weren't so expensive (as far as DE blades go, anyways). Sadly, I'll have to stick to Astra SPs as my main blades, very cheap and my second favorite blades. Anyone else ever use Kai blades?

I have used the Kai's in my Fatboy and my DE89. They were the best blades I've used in both razors. I didn't know if I liked the way the Fatboy shaved that much until I tried a Kai in it, it was incredible. So sharp, but so smooth. Perfect blades in my opinion.
I must have gotten some bad ones. I used one blade and only got through half of my upper lip before I tossed it. I will PIF the other 4...why not now? First ten people at this thread who post "Kai me!" I will use a random number generator and send them out in ten days (I leave at 6am tomorrow for a business trip.).
I will throw in a couple more 5 packs to give it some weight. How about 5--Gillette 7 O'Clock Blacks, Feathers, Crystals? CONUS only. Ummm, I hate only one winner...second gets 5@ Blacks and Crystals and Lords?

Kai blades are among the most expensive DEs out there, don't you agree? Is it a scarcity issue - and are they still being produced?

Yes they are still being produced.
Kai's are great blades. I myself don't find them as sharp as Feathers, but that's just me. They are very smooth and will give a great shave nonetheless.
I noticed they are thicker than other blades and the hole in the middle is narrower.
