What's new

just tried Valobra shave stick for the first time..

Hi,

I just tried my Valobra shave stick for the first time tonight. Face lathered it with my Simpsons CH1. Its nice! I liked it a lot. Not quite as thick or luxorious a lather as my Tabac or Irisch Moos soaps, but great slickness and nice pleasant fresh, clean vanilla type smell. I'm really digging these shave sticks now. Gonna have to try some more like Arko and palmolive or speick soon!

All of those other shave sticks you mention are great, but in my opinion, nothing tops Valobra.

I will really need to open my Valobra stick next week...

For the money, Palmolive is a good bet.
Your Valobra stick should exceed your Tabac in performance. Use more soap to build your lather.:thumbup1:

Its even better when you mill 2 sticks into a shave soap container...pure bliss!!

Shave stick purist cringe at the thought...but this is what I do as well. Plus I milled the shave stick with some of the Valobra soft soap, which gives a boost to the almondy fragrance.:thumbup1:

Got my first Valobra shave stick from bullgoose on saturday. I'll be using it this week...can't wait to try it after all the good things I've heard about it!

Thanks for the responses everyone!

Jim I will try more soap. I wondered since I had heard such great things. The lather was very moist and slick, just seemed rather flat to my tabac and irisch moos soaps. I could have definitely been doing it wrong too as it was my first attempt. I'll make sure I overload my face with soap this time and really work it.

Thanks,
X :thumbup1:
