Just purchased A Double Ring!

I purchased the double ring from a member on ebay

I have been collecting Gillette razors for about 4 months. I have a 1921 old type, a Goodwill, a Fatboy, an ABC and a Tech. I decided that a double ring would sort of complete my collection for now.
I placed a WTB on this forum and did not get any offers. Only several people responded to the inquiry. When I saw the double ring on ebay I just hit the "buy" button hoping it was the right decision. I assume the price was fair and the fact that not all the numerals of the serial number ARE visible is a major factor. I didn't want the razor to get away.

Can I shave with it using a modern blade? How does the shave compare to a 1921 single ring? Where can I obtain a blade that was used with the double ring. I know I can't shave with it; just want one for my collection.

Congratulations! I was watching that one. It's a real collector's item. I'm glad someone who participates on this board bought it. I would be shocked to learn it can't be used with modern blades.

Good luck with it, and make sure to post your shave results. You've got a real piece of history there.

Sorry its still not working.
i copied it from the thread "a double ring 4 sale on flea bay" which was posted on 8/29 in the safety razor blade forum. You can just do a "double ring" search to see it
