What's new

Just Ordered Me Some Soap.

Thus my quest begins to find my favorite one. Cremo, VDH, and William's are not bad, but time has come to bring my attention (and my money) from the hardware to the software. First candidates up for testing? A little red tub called Cella, and a couple of sticks of Palmolive and La Toja. Let's see how this goes:

Hope the Italian Barber ships fast...

Haha, well done. You will definitely love your choices and will probably never return to your former ways. Enjoy your shaves and keep us updated on your findings! Who knows, you may be in the minority that truly do love VDH and Williams for life.

Well, I really never said I LOVED Williams :tongue_sm

I do however like VDH a lot. Then again, Not much to be compared to...yet:thumbup1:
Thanks!

Cella, Palmolive, and La Toja are all fantastic performing soaps at a good value. I only use four soaps, and Cella and La Toja are included in that list. I mash my sticks into a dish and lather like I would a puck. Very nice choices!

Oh and IB ships very fast, but I'm in Canada, so I'd imagine it would be a little longer for Jersey. His turnaround time is ridiculously fast, he'll get it shipped quick. Extremely good customer service. I once sent him an email at 3 A.M. and he responded in minutes! Great vendor.

IB's US shipments come out of Niagra Falls, NY. It only takes two or three days for him to get to me in California, so I'd imagine New Jersey would be pretty quick.

Great choices on your soaps. While Van der Hagen gets a surprising amount of love around here, you probably won't want to buy it again after you try out your new soaps!!!

Congrats!

I've heard good things about La Toja, and Cella, so much so I ordered a tube of La Toja and am about to try it out today. I was giving my new tube of GFT a test run for the last 7 days, but that's a love story for another time. I will say though, Trumper's GFT is great! You should try it too Pedro.

Make Sure You Try Some Stirling.

I think next order will be of samplers from artisan soaps. Stirling, Mikes, B&M...As it turns out, The girl from Mystic River is little over an hour from here, and she is selling in festivals and markets all over the Baltimore area. I all of the sudden got the urge to take the family for a trip down to MD to one of these festivals :001_rolle

I started doing this about 5 weeks ago. This round I have been reviewing Mike's Natural Soaps. It has been a blissful endeavor!

Woa, I see there in your pics. What do you recommend next?

Personally, I am going to be doing a review of Lavender scents next. I probably have about 12 already and may acquire a couple more before I am done with Mike's line. Looking at your post above, I would probably go with B&M. I think that may be the next artisan I hit for reviews myself...That is, after the Lavender fest of course!
