I just sent payment for one of his sight unseen kits with the poor man strop. This will be my first straight. I have been using DE, SE and injectors my whole life. I have always wanted to try a straight, but didn't really know what would be a good one to start with. Then after finding B&B I started hearing about Larry and how good he is to deal with. So I thought to my self why not, and took the plunge. I hope I like it as much as I think I will. For thoes with experience with his sight unseen razors. Do you find them to be razors you will keep forever, or are they just a starter razor?

From what I hear they are great starter razors, meaning user grade but nothing pretty. I have not taken the plunge yet myself but would like to. Keep us informed of your progress!

Larry at whipped dog puts a great edge on a razor. You will be happy with your purchase. It's a greast way to get started without breaking the bank.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I will post up pics when I receive the razor. From what I hear it doesn't mater if it is a looker or not, it will be a good razor if it comes from Larry. So I am keeping my fingers crossed.

You'll be pleased. If you stay with the initial learning curve, straight shaving is an absolute joy. I would have a hard time picturing myself using anything else.
Larry puts an amazing edge on his razors, and if you don't love the razor, you can send it back for credit on another ! Ou can not go wrong
Yep, I believe you can "trade it in" for the price of honing.
