Trial Size Badger Shaving Brush

What in the blue blazes is a trial size brush?

My understanding is that it's poorly constructed enough that it sheds pretty constantly or the knot separates from the handle after a short while. You wouldn't want to use it for more than a couple of weeks. Not a good way to introduce somebody to shaving with a brush IMO.

The second link does mention that you get Free shipping on your next order of $50 or more, but nothing about a free starter kit.

This offer is only for new registrants, and it seems that if you don't have an AOS store nearby (as determined by your IP address) their system substitutes the coupon instead.

Anyways, it's a decent gift set, the brush is tiny though - about the size of my thumb, it looks like a joke next to a real brush Reports are that it will last about as long as the sample cream and lotions they give you then fall apart.

That being said, it's a good way to get some free shave oil, cream and balm!

I picked-up one of these sets a while back when a B&B member posted a coupon for free in-person pick-up. All the items in the set are good except the pre-shave oil. It was too thick and smelled like cloves. The brush, though small, is decent. I used it for a few weeks until my 24mm super badger arrived. It didn't shed and I'm keeping it in my den as a back-up and in case I feel like taking a brush when traveling.

AHHHHHH! I've been trying to identify that smell for days! Cloves!



BTW, on the set I got, the "gift card" is a really small plastic tab glued to the side of the box. Really easy to miss, watch out of it.
