What's new

Just bought a Injector on ebay, recommendations for cleaning?

That doesn't look like it will take much more than a shot of Scrubbing Bubbles and a light once-over with a toothbrush! Very nice, and a great price, too! :thumbup1:

You should find that to be a nice gentle shave!!

Thanks for the advice.

I believe I purchased a I2: Hydro-Magic razor. Is that correct?

I always spray mine with Scrubbing Bubbles and brush with a stiff tooth brush, rinse, soak in alcohol for ten minutes, and run a blade through it.

Great score! Looks to be in excellent shape. It's great that the Hydro_magic sports the lever. Makes cleaning it a lot easier.

Funny how after 11 bids it ends up on 7$. Which is a really good price!

I'd be wary of alcohol around that plastic handle. The head on a Hydro Magic opens apart so it is easy to clean - wish I had this on two earlier fixed models that I snapped apart - they don't "snap" back together!:cursing:

I broke an L I think.

Off white handle gold colored head.

Wasn't expensive, but it still sucked.

I tried to pry it open with toothpicks to rinse it and the handle snapped. Plastic was dry rotted or something.

I'm working on a custom handle since the head is still fine.

Nice looking razor you won there!

Injectors are schweet!!

Yep, that's what it is. I love my Hydro-Magic, for that matter I love all my injectors!
Soak it in some soapy water made with dishsoap and rinse it off. Don't do much polishing with any kind of metal polish, the finish on the Schicks is pretty thin.

Nice score. I have 2 of these and they are truly my go-to. Love the length, weight, and Hydro-Magic cleaning mechanism.

As everyone suggested - scrubbing bubbles and a toothbrush.

I love my injectors almost more than DE's...
