I backtracked through 5 pages in this section and looked at the stickies and was a bit surprised to see that we don't have a 'network' of penpals. Since we are all keen writers and interested in improving our handwriting I was expecting somebody have thought this up long ago.

So is this something people would be interested in?

I think it would be a great idea, especially for the new people who would be able to write to experienced writers and see first hand what good handwriting looks like and maybe get some constructive criticism and if nothing else, it would be a nice way to make a few friends and have someone on the other side of the world to send a Christmas card to.

You were right about the group being inactive. The last post was well over a year ago.

Hmmm... I posted a question here last night about a problem I was having with a pen I purchased and then went straight to bed. I got up this morning and there was 8 replies waiting for me. So we do have a very active forum- there's no question about that. I think it might be worth giving it another go.

Anybody agree? Disagree?

Im not a member of the group, so I cant see what was posted etc. But I would assume if it was an active group, there would be at least one post every year.

Just to get an idea if its worth setting up or not, can we see a show of hands for anyone who is interested in starting something new.

I don't think we need to start something new, PM BrianW to get into the group forum then just PM whoever you want to in the group to exchange addresses.

You may have been looking at the wrong date because Andy was correct, no worries though because I put up a new post as of today anyway. Since the group was started, there are not many posts made to it because like Brian said, people exchange letters. If you join the group, you can choose members you would like to exchange letters with, and PM them for their address and tell them you want to send a letter. Simple as that.

must not be able to see,... there has been a few posts this year i have posted a few,... but the group is just people you know wish to write to one another so you know who to PM

There are a lot of letters going back and forth from a ot of us. I think most of those posts were when it was getting organized. Brianw can add your name to the list but all initial address exchanges have been done by PM, then just followed up by letter.

Anyone that wants a letter can PM me their address. On vacation this week so it may be next weekbefore it goes out.
