What's new

Just a heads up for dog owners and new badger brush owners

I got in my WCS brush order ( they rocked on my first order). Anyhoo I came home and opened up my brush left it open on the table and my yorkie tried to eat the brush, gf got to him be he got to the brush he went nuts until
I could break it in. Just a warning to all new brush owners w/ dogs.

smelled too much like one of those rodents he has been bred to go after.

You might want to put up a HIGH shelf to keep it on unless you want to re-knot what is left of the handle soon :001_smile

I keep my brushes in a cabinet that is very high off the floor. My brittany is a cleptomaniac and will steal anything that is not nailed down.

Good lord no. I am taking this wet shaving stuff slow redoing brushes will be last on my list. But if he gets that brush I will use my straight on him( JK ppl) no animals were harmed during this posting.

When on his hind legs my bloodhound stands about five feet. He jumped up and grabbed my pure black whipped dog badger off the top shelf of my shave den. He chewed the crap out of the handle but the knot was still in tact. It's usable but not as pretty as it was. Now I keep that door closed when I'm not around.

Badger must be reminiscent of something that your dog has a predisposition to attack, triggering a sort of Pavlovi... SQUIRRELL!!!

But on the plus side for you, even if your Yorkie had destroyed your brush...Yorkie's are basically brush size anyways

Same story with our coonhound. I haven't had any casualties yet, but he's always interested when I have a brush out. I love bloodhounds, BTW.

Dogs try to eat and destroy ANYTHING.

My dog does not destroy things. She will always smell out a situation, but rarely acts out of character. When new brushes come into my house, she gets first dibs on checking them out. The sniffs around the knot, then sticks her nose right down the center and gives it a good whiff and a few snorts. A little tail wagging and the brush is approved. There has never been a brush denied, nor a brush destroyed.

No tattoo mistakes!
Great thread, but why are there no photos.

No photos, it didn't happen.

If no red-pawed shots, guilty mugs might suffice.

a dog's behaviour is set by it's owner - sit Beerhunter, good boy! :wink2:

luckily my samoyed is just too damn lazy for standing in his hind legs and looking for something to chew. when I'm shaving, he's asleep, in fact he sleeps about 15 hours a day. my brushes are safe.

Here's Rita picking out tomorrows brush (Vulfix Reknot with TGN finest)

She gets quite frisky with them.
