Hi guys-
Just registered this morning. I have shaved double edge for years, using a Merkur slanted comb edge model I bought many years ago. IT is now pitting and the finish is flaking off, so it's time for something new, i suppose. I was wondering if someone could clue me in to what razors were on the market in my birth year, 1962, from different manufacturers? Also interested in picking up a new Merkur- anyone familiar with the Futura? opinions?

In stead of Merkur you might want to look into Edwin Jagger and Mühle razors.
They are better build and plated.
