It appears that can now be had. The Adidias website indicates they “sold out” so you may want to check elsewhere or provide Adidas with your email to be notified when (if) they are back in stock.

Wow. These arrived today. Rod Laver wasn’t that fast. 
I also go up a 1/2 size with sneakers. That formula has always worked with the exception of ProKeds which the 1/2 size made it a bit too roomy.
An extra set of laces that match the natural-colored trim if that is your preference. I’ll have to take a look.
Alternate colored laces. I like either look but for now, I will go with the laces that match the upper.
I gotta say that these are very comfortable. I am pleased that I pulled the trigger on the Adidas Rod Laver model. Who knows, if they are discontinued again, I won’t have to sweat it out next time around.
Now, when are those Converse Pro Leather getting here?

No offense, but I definitely prefer the mesh upper. They are a sharp looking pair of shoes. Give me the green soles.

The Converse Pro Leather arrived today from across the Pond from End Clothing.
Glad to see an original Converse box
When I ordered these from the End Clothing website, they did not show the inside of the sneaker and I was hoping that the Stars and Stripes insole was still intact... and, happily, it was.
Comfortable (as they should be) right of the box.
I think I have satisfied my retro sneaker addiction for the time-being.
But I am happy to have finally obtained two classic make-ups that I had been searching out (and at decent prices) to finally add to the collection.
And as for dealing with End Clothing from England, they were very communicative, delivery was prompt and I would not hesitate to deal with them again in the future. Overall, a pleasant experience. Good on them.

One reaches a certain age ... and SWMBO reaches a certain age ... when one is happy enough to have "stopped trying" and she is happy to accept you for that.
The alternative ... one "still trying" or "starting to try again" ... at a minimum makes one look silly. It probably costs a lot. And odds are it's aimed at some other (younger) woman.
Not that one has to just wear crap. One can still attain the look of "stylishly retired from The Market". When Red Green goes to the grocery store, the only cheesecake he's at all interested in is "strawberry" and "chocolate".

When I read that story, as a former resident of Atlanta aka "The Dirty South" I kept thinking of the lyrics to the song by T.I.

Wow, who knew about white high tops and the Taliban. Proof that clothes are symbolic! I am glad I do not live somewhere where I had to be careful not to wear something because someone might kill me over it. Although, I do not think I am going to be buying any Nike Cortezs!

Any negative connations attached to shell Cordovan? Sneakers are turning out to be too dangerous.
