Jack Black shave brush

The synthetic? I have. Amazingly soft tips. Probably the best synthetic brush I've ever tried. It's expensive retail up here in Canada ($100) but if for some reason you HAVE to use synthetic, that would indeed be the brush I would recommend.

Yes, I bought a badger brush many years ago when I first got married but I used an electric shaver about 90% of the time. Then last Nov. 2011 I got caught up in the current wave of wet shaving. I bought a Men-U brush which is synthetic. I own two others also. The I.D. picture here shows my 3 brushes. The other two are a Omega and a Parker. They are nice also.

I had never heard of Jack Black. While searching it I found a better price here ( I have never heard of that vendor either)
I've looked at it many times in Nordstroms, but never taken it out of the sealed case. It looks impressive, and I like the fact that they include a travel case / stand for it.

Reading the package, it was hard to determine what the knot was made from. This vendor clarifies that it is synthetic. And this is a VERY good price for it.

I have one. The tips are, as mentioned, AMAZINGLY soft.

However, it "leaks" when face lathering. By that, I mean that I"ll shake the brush out, load it, and then face lather. And then, out of seemingly nowhere, a stream of water runs out of it. It seems that the fibers don't retain and release water the way boar and badger and horses do.

But, it is freakishly soft, and I use it to bowl lather, as the face drip thing is annoying.

I know what you mean by "it leaks". Today when I was using my Parker synthetic it was leaking. I will try using less water.
